What You Can Expect
Initial Phone Consultation
I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation. The initial phone consultation is designed to help you determine if you are ready for counselling and together we can decide if I am the right fit for you. If I feel that you would be better served in another therapeutic setting I would be happy to provide you with information on other resources. I realize that the decision to pursue counselling can be difficult for some people and I want you to know that I am there to answer any questions that may assist you in making this decision easier.
Individual therapy sessions are 55 minutes in length. During our first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other and identifying the concerns bringing you to counselling. With these concerns in mind, together we will establish goals for therapy and design a treatment plan to achieve these goals, improve self-awareness, and identify barriers preventing lasting change. Follow-up sessions will then be used to work through your treatment plan and develop and build on your internal and external resources in as quickly and efficiently a manner as possible. The number of follow-up sessions required will depend on the type of concerns being addressed and the level of change desired. I would be happy to refer you to any additional community resources that would contribute to your overall wellness. I am happy to write reports for your doctor for a fee.
Individual Therapy – $110.00/hr
I accept cash, email transfer, or credit card payment using Square. Payment is due at the end of each session.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per session?
- When does my annual coverage renew?
Scheduled appointment times are reserved exclusively for you, to work toward achieving your personal therapy goals. In the event that you need to cancel an appointment, please allow a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. If you fail to provide 24 hours’ notice or miss a scheduled appointment time, you will be required to pay the full cost of the missed/cancelled appointment before additional appointments will be scheduled.
